1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of ACTConnect. By registering you agree to them. ACTConnect is an introduction platform: bookings are contracts between the ACT and the pharmacy.
2. Eligibility
ACTs must hold a recognised accuracy checking qualification and, where applicable, current GPhC or PSNI registration. Pharmacies must be a lawfully operating UK pharmacy or healthcare provider.
3. Verification
We verify identity, qualifications and references in good faith. Pharmacies remain responsible for their own pre-engagement checks and for ensuring appropriate supervision and governance.
4. Bookings and cancellations
A booking is confirmed when the pharmacy accepts an application. Cancellations within 48 hours of a shift may incur a fee. Repeated late cancellation may result in account suspension.
5. Fees and payment
Registration and applications are free for ACTs. Pharmacies pay a per-booking platform fee published at the point of posting. Hourly rates are agreed directly between the parties.
6. Conduct
Users must provide accurate information, communicate professionally and comply with all applicable pharmacy law and professional standards. Circumventing the platform to avoid fees is a breach of these terms.
7. Liability
ACTConnect is not liable for the acts or omissions of any ACT or pharmacy, nor for losses arising from a cancelled or unfilled shift, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Future services
ACTConnect may extend the platform to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and dispensers. These terms will apply to those categories with any role-specific amendments notified in advance.
